The first electronic lens adapter from NOVOFLEX which enables Leica SL-photographers to use their existing or new Canon EF-mount lenses.
The adapter supports autofocus, automatic aperture control, AF/MF mode as well as depth of field indication.
Moreover, the EXIF data for aperture and focal length are transferred.
The Leica SL-system currently only has 2 native lenses available (2.8-4/24-90 and 2.8-4/90-280) thus the new NOVOFLEX SL/EOS lens adapter should be a top seller at every Leica store and -boutigue.
DetailsThe Leica SL belongs to the high-end cameras within the series of mirrorless system cameras. Already at the beginning of this year, NOVOFLEX Präzisionstechnik GmbH Memmingen, Germany, launched – as one of the first manufacturers worldwide – a series of lens adapters which enable the use of existing lenses with the new Leica SL. The german based accessories specialist is now presenting the first electronic adapter for
the use of Canon EF lenses with the Leica SL. Doing so, a couple of electronic camera functions can be transferred to the lens.
For the time being, around 30 EF-lenses and converters are compatible with the new adapter, prime lenses, zoom lenses as well as four tilt-/shift-lenses. Thanks to the new adapter a great variety of high-quality EF-lenses are available for the Leica SL, which also facilitate the switch-over to the new Leica SL system.
The new electronic Leica SL adapter – of course „Made in Germany“ supports the following functions: autofocus, automatic aperture control, AF/MF modus as well as
depth of field indication. Moreover, the EXIF data for aperture and focal distance are transmitted. Image stabilization is not supported.
